This is a video about making a Vision Statement. I don't know if anyone has already posted it, but MAN, it's basically a moving wish board. I've watched other people's and I'm making my own.

Malcom holds seminars to help you learn how to do it. I was in on the very first one he held, and am making one myself (I had NO prior knowledge how to use powerpoint or how to make online videos!). It's really wonderful.

I'm having fun, plus just the process of doing it has been amazing. It makes you really clarify what it is that you actually... do... want. I can't wait to see mine.

I find this one to be pretty cool: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oCSSJ...elated&search=

I did, too. I've always been very skeptical about the whole, "you just have to have faith" thing. The problem is, it was always so hard to quantify "faith."

The Secret explains what "faith" is and how to have it when you don't have any (like me ).

I bought the CD and I watch it almost every day.

That's really cool.
I'm going to have to make me one!!!

So how do you make a video? Can anyone point me to a good online tutorial or something? I will go look now but any tips are appreciated!

I love this idea!!!! So excited . . .

Here's the guy who started the whole thing: http://www.malcolmcohan.com/

He does a seminar to teach how to make them. The link's at the bottom of his site for more information.

Thanks, Amris! My PowerPoint program isn't working so I have to get that fixed first!

BTW, noticed you are in New England too.

I already made one for my screensaver! Thanks for the link!!!!

Oh and I downloaded a trial version of a screensaver maker here: http://www.fu2000.com/ It's really easy to use and you can add music. I added some music that makes me smile to mine.

Yes, I'm loving the weather we're having here, too! I'm not a fan of winter, so I'm really genuinely loving the warmth of the last few days (and nights). I would hug father winter if he were a real person.

That was a lot of fun.

I don't have these skills...yet. Boo. I'm budding in and being pushy this time and I'll even beg you.

I have Power Point on my Mac. How do you pull pics from google into a Power Point Presentation? Like my 10 yo says, "I don't get it."

Slide Show For Dummies? Anyone?

Big Huge TIA! with a link to my slideshow...if I can get one up on my myspace. :

Okay, I don't really know how Macs work. But I'll try to explain how you do it on PC, and maybe it will be the same for you. You can give it a try.

I just right click on the picture, and click copy. Then I go to powerpoint, and simply right click and paste. It works just fine on PC, I'm sure you know the way to copy/paste in Mac?

I'm not being condescending here, I am telling you honestly I don't know if you can just right click and copy or not, and whether it will paste after that into powerpoint like it does on PC. You'll probably have to experiment with it and see?

I am trying to figure out how to make one on my own. It's slow going, but I'm excited to see what I can do. I still haven't fidgured out how to set it to music.

Thanks for the links, I'll check them out!

ETA: I think those are links for Mac users, I'm on a PC. Thanks though! I know one of the other posters on this thread had a Mac.

Oooh, this looks fantastic! I think I'll ask my little brother to install it for me or at least help me, since it looks like it needs some other support programs or something and I'm not sure what I'm doing. My little brother is still in highschool but he's always been a comupter whiz.

I am excited about this.

Oooh, I downloaded it, am playing with it now, and I highly recommend it!! This is awesome! Thanks Amris!

(I feel like this thread is all me now )

Anyone familiar with using this program (MemoriesOnTheWeb)? I can't figure out how to put in text.

TIA!

I am also trying to choose the perfect feel-good song or music for my video. I haven't found it yet. Anyone else building a Vision Statement or something similar? I would love to discuss this with you! Come on out of lurkdom!
