So........don't do this.......LOL

So last night, I used my first evening primrose oil pill, after a cup of RRL tea. Then DH and I dtd a little bit later. THEN....after a little nap anyway, I woke up with contractions....that lasted the next TWO HOURS. Every two minutes! I could talk through them and all, but still....I called both my midwife and my doula, who actually packed while having me wait an hour to call back with an update. (I called after an hour of contractions 1-3 mins. apart.)

But over that second hour, they went to steadily 3 mins. apart, then 4...then 10............at which point, I talked to my doula and we decided everybody should go to bed. Then, when I crawled into bed, I had 4 in the next about 10-15 minutes.............then they were gone.

disappointed? kinda--but at 37 weeks, 6 days, it's all right if she cooks a little longer. I'm officially 38 weeks now, it's midnight Sunday,

It's my second baby, but my first non-induced labor. I'm in all new territory here!
The next question is, how do I know if I'm losing that mucus plug or if that's just from GIO?! (sorry on the eww factor)

I only lost my mucus plug with the first... I think because my dr. stripped my membranes (without my consent). As far as I know, it should be tinged with brown/red. HTH!

I did the epo, rrl, sex thing one day last week and got a big fat NOTHING. If I thought it would send me into labor I'd do it again today. As it is I'm drinking 3xRRL each day, epo 2x per day and sex daily. Apparently it is warm and cozy in my womb and baby sees no reason to leave.

Ya me too - I have been doing the rrl tea and epo everyday for the past week or so and even on the days that we have sex, not too much happens. I think my baby is laughing at me saying that she will come when she is good and ready!

I didn't loose my mucus plug with DD, that I was aware of anyway. We'll see about this time! I would welcome a sign that labor is soon

With DD I lost my mucus plug when my water broke. I was laying down in bed, felt it break, & literally jumped up and ran across the hall to the bathroom. I left a nice little puddle on the bathroom floor & my plug was in the middle of the puddle.

Mine might be getting ready to go though. I had a pad on today while I was out doing errands and the discharge on my unbleached cotton pad was definitly brownish...

I havn't been doing anything special though. Just the normal being up and about, although I did organize our garage yesterday & that was a bit more strenuous. DTD every other day or so. Drinking LOTS of the Traditional Medicinals RRL & Pregnancy teas. Although I cold brew them because I just *can't* drink that much hot tea in one day.

Hehehe... I wondered the same thing a couple weeks ago. Sorry I still don't know if it was my plug or hubby's nasty congeled semen. I'm also in uncharted territory here as this is my second baby, and hopefully first non-induced labor.

I love you, ladies. With your funny comments that literally take the words out of my mouth. You all make being this pregnant bearable!!

I have seen my plug 3 times. The first time is was whitish and stringy, the second time it looked like I blew my nose ALOT and on dh's hand (!! he was checking dilation for me) , and this time it was a smaller version of the first and I assume there will be more to follow. Mine has never been pink or brown. Always whitish or just regular mucousy looking. Sorry if TMI!
