My pantry is officially stocked! I almost feel bad about how much food we have. I'm sure we could live off it for at least 2 months. I think it's a mix of not having a large variety of food (from this fall when we were really short on cash) and winter/hibernation. When things go on sale, I stock up. I have canned soup, veggies, 2 big bags of potatoes, big bag of onions, dried beans, huge bag of rice, huge bag of flour, oatmeal, nuts, raisins, seeds, popcorn kernels, powdered milk, coffee (x3!), hot chocolate, juice galore, 3 kinds of tea. In the freezer; meat, veggies, fish, pasta, bread... Also have tons of spices, seasonings, etc. (A lot were Christmas gifts!

)
For food, we pretty much have a large stock of whatever we use on a daily basis. I think it's better if you stock up on real food, (rice, beans, oatmeal etc) instead of prepackaged, convenience foods (frozen pizza, etc). It's healthier, stretches a lot further, and you can make so much more with it.
I didn't purposefully do this to be ready for emergencies etc. It's just nice to have stuff on hand and not always need to run to the grocery store.
I do know there's another thread here on stocking up 'just in case'. I'll check to see if I can find it.
