Honey and Beeswax

Thread Starter
My FIL is a beekeeper and wants me to start making things with his raw honey and beeswax. Any ideas? I was thinking of lipbalm, soaps, candles - that sort of thing. Any ideas, suggestions or links that y'all find helpful?

My parents kept bees until a year ago. My mom focused on candles. She also sold the pollen, but that was labor intensive. As for just the honey, seems like lip balm wouldn't "bee" (couldn't help myself) too difficult, but I have no direct experience myself!

Balms are easy

1 part oil (grapeseed, avacado, safflower..ect ect)
1 part wax (calendula, beezwax)
1 part butter (shea, cocoa etc)

Melt down ix well put in lip balm tubes or tins

That is just a very basic recipe, you can get much fancier *L

I sometimes add beezwax to soap, it makes a super hard bar

My instinct for the honey would just be to cook with it.
