Has anyone ever made soap from the left over slivers that you have from bars of soap? If so can you explain how to do that?

Thanks for reading,

I don't know if what i do is the best way, but I always put the slivers in the blender with a small amount of water. I end up with a kind of liquid soap, a little lumpy but not too bad. I put it in a pump top bottle and use like any other liquid soap.

Soap from slivers

That sounds like a great idea. I will try that with some of my slivers.

I wonder also if I could have it dry some and make it back into soap cakes?

Thanks

Or you can put a bunch of silvers in a old bit of pantyhose, tie it off and use it a long time in the bath or shower.

I put my slivers in a net pouch designed for that purpose., It's kind of like a body puff/scrub. (Yes it's made of plastic.) I bought one at Target, and the second one at CVS.

When I was about 8, I had a mold designed especially for making a bar of soap from scraps. I LOVED that thing. I asked for it for christmas and my mom ordered it from some catalog.

I'm pretty sure it was the Miles Kimball catalog, which, of course, is now available online.
