I lurk a lot at soaping forums and since I was looking into lotion recipes he has suddenly become inspired.

He then *makes* me ask them about recipes for astroglide type stuff

I am wondering if anyone will reply...I am also wondering if someone does, how much he is planning on making!!

isnt that just a glycerine kind of thing?

i know you can get cheap glycerine at the CVS == we use it for homemade bubbles; it gives them a bit more strength

I know!! :LOL

He can test it out by himself..

I am just scared to have something he whipped up in the kitchen in certain sensitive bits..

Wondering if he's planning on whipping up a large batch in hopes of a slippery wrestling match between you two? :LOL

You can make your own astroglide as it is MOSTLY propylene glycol. YOu can find this at livestock/feed stores in bulk. FOlks give it to goats who refuse to eat. It is a processed form of glycerine I believe.

Glycerine alone will heat up. It is the main ingredient in edible warming massage oils (another adult product). Personally straight glycerine with some friction would be enough to..ummm. send me running. ANd I can only imagine if he were using it SOLO!! YIKES!!!

The ingredient list on astroglide is pretty short but I do recall the #1 ingredient is prop. glycol.

Well Shhhhh don't let the word get out, my Dh is a perv too and I'm SURE he'd think this was the greatest idea of the century! I could just see him with a bucket o' homemade astroglide asking me if I can get in an order for an empty birth tub early! :LOL

Why? To torture them? Seriously, I'm really curious as to what that does... I'd think with its ah, slippery properties it'd be a whole lot like eatting a whole can of prunes! :LOL

Kind of OT but that stuff works GREAT to stick a hairbow ribbon to a little baby girl's head, it glues the bow right on and then is water soluble so you just wet their hair to pick it off. Nice for a photo if you have a bald baby dd you want to decorate.

You can also use the KY jelly stuff to glue on jewels on your skin (kind of like hot glueing to a shirt to decorate, the kind of decorative fake jewel with one side that is flat) if you are into it, use a blow dryer set to cool to secure -just know if you start sweating a lot if you are dancing or something they will slide off.
