ISO Safe Teething Toys

My three month old seems to be teething, if you can believe that! LOL He likes to chew on my fingers, but I want to find a toy he can gnaw on too. I saw the Haba teethers but they have paint and I don't know what's in the paint, if the wood is treated, etc.!!

Any ideas of where/what to buy?

My son loves his Under the Nile doll (the kind with the pointed hat). I soak the hat part in water, then put it in the freezer. He LOVES to chew on it that way! BTW - don't soak the whole body in water before freezing it. It's too cold for baby to hold onto.

I just give my son a wet washcloth...he loves it.

we've had good lu ck with haba too. although dd favorite is an ice cube tied in a baby washcloth. a little messy but she LOVES it!

get a baby washcloth wet, then stick it flat in a baggie and put it in the freezer. It's nice and cold but still soft.

it's sooooo super adorable and DD loves to chew on the ring, and you can untie the doll and throw it in the wash when it gets yucky.

the only think that skeeved me a little is that when she first started chewing on the ring it smelled funny...but it was a natural woody funny so I'm sure it's ok...it was just kinda yuck.
