Oren River's Water Birth!

Hi everyone,

I've mostly been a lurker on this board, but I just wanted to share that I had my little boy, Oren River on Dec 27th at 9:45 PM. He was 8lbs, 2oz and 21" long. He was born underwater right into my arms and we have been in love since!

congrats, the pics are great too, i wished iwould have taken more at my labor but it all happened so fast the dr almost didnt get there in time. you look good for just having a baby lol both times with my kids i looked horrible , i hate all the pictures but it was 3am when i went into labor with my son and 7:2-am with my daughter so both times my hair was a mess etc lol but u looked like you did good and it was really easy. the 27th was my daughters due date but she came the 25th instead.

I've come lurking from the june board to get the idea of L&D back into my head and found your birth story. I told my husband about it and he looked at the pictures and half read the story. It got us talking about water births and birthing centers (which he had refused to pretty much acknowledge as legit at all) and he seemed really interested in the idea. THANK YOU! Even if it still happens in a hospital, just the thought that you got him thinking makes me smile.
