I gave my mw my 2 operative reports yesterday and she was reading through them. DS was born by c/s after 33 hours of pitocin-induced labor and AROM. He never descended, he was at -3 when I had the c/s. The cord was wrapped tightly once around his neck and he was OP. When reading my operative report I didnt pay much attention to the nuchal cord- lots of babies have that. I figured it was the OP and the fact that I was on my back etc, the whole hospital/OB scene. But my mw said that since his cord was wrapped tightly, he probably couldnt descend.
Now I am a bit freaked. DD also had the cord wrapped around her neck according to her operative report (though not tightly). Is this something that all my babies do and its going to be a problem? My mw said as a hb mw if they felt thats what was happening they would give it some time and let the cord stretch.
I mean, tons of babies have their cords around their neck and they come out, so... I dont know.
Thoughts?
