I want to move to antarctica to have this baby!

Argh!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Why can't people just shut up and leave me ALONE!!! I think ppl really like to piss off pregnant women! ESPECIALLY MIL's!

My MIL isn't very happy that we've decided to have a homebirth. Who the freak cares??? But anyways, being the nice sweet DIL that I TRY to be I set up a meeting where she can meet our midwife and ask her anything she wants so that hopefully she can become more comfortable with this situation.
Also, I have asked dh's twin sister to be at the meeting b/c I've asked her to be at the birth(as she has a very strong medical background and she's a big support of our decision to hb) but not MIL or dh's baby sister, nor will I. So, I email MIL about this meeting with times and stuff and she emails me back and asks if I'm going to ask baby sister to come to the meeting. Why the H*LL would I do that!??!!

I'm sorry, there is a LONG and frustrating history here that I won't bore you all with, but why in the H*LL would I have someone who has absolutely NOTHING to do with this birth at a meeting with my midwife? I mean it's just as if I was inviting them to a doc's appt. I'm ONLY doing this as a courtesy for MIL, not the whole freaking world!!!!! SIL does nothing but put me down so that she can look better any time we meet so WHY I ask would I want her anywhere NEAR me?????

Oh and baby SIL is pissed that she's not invited to my blessingway on Saturday. So, she blabed on another board about it complaining that she'll never know what a blessingway is like. OH BOO HOO!! Uh, hello??? Again this is supposed to be a loving and supportive environment, right?

Ok, I'm done. I just have so much pent up frustration and anger at these people right now, and no way to let it out at the present moment. I felt like I was about to explode! Please pay no attention to the crazy woman behind the post!!!!!

So sorry...

Your story makes me glad my IL's don't know about our homebirth though!!

There'd be Hell to pay with my IL's if I had chosen a home birth. They can be so difficult, even the good ones! No one warns you as a girl that you have to deal with this stuff when you grow up. Maybe it'd be the end of society as we know it.

Thanks ladies so much!

I saw MIL tonight and she barely even talked to me. So, I'm gonna send her an email tonight. As far as I'm concerned SIL doesn't need to be at midwife meeting, and I'm trying to help them (MIL/FIL) feel better about this homebirth, but if they don't feel better after this meeting...OH WELL, it's really NOT my problem!

I know one thing I'll have to tell my girls when they are ready to marry...DON'T let your in-laws move onto your property...and actually the farther away from them you live the better.
