I had my first appt with a midwife today and I am due June 17. I've been lurking for a while but never officially said hello. My last pregnany was a mc and I was a bit hesitant to join until I heard that heartbeat for the first time. Yay! I'm official! Hello

Congrats and welcome! I'm also due on June 17! And interestingly- that is Father's Day this year.

I didn't realize that it was Father's Day. What a great gift that would be for dh! Never actually happens on the day though....

I have to admit that the heartbeat made me feel so much better. I think the mc made me more hesitant with this pregnancy. I took care of myself and everything but still it didn't feel real yet until you hear it. It also didn't help that I'm not someone who shows early. I'm still wearing a lot of my regular pants, they've just gotten tighter. I didn't have to wear maternity clothes until 5 months with my dd.

Anyway, looking forward to posting with you!

I was the same way due to a previous miscarriage! This time (2nd pregnancy since m/c) I wasn't *as* nervous, but I was still so relieved once I got past the two milestones of hearing the heartbeat, and getting past the point that we lost our first!

welcome!

I got pregnant this time just one cycle after my m/c...so it was a real roller coaster, especially since I had early spotting/bleeding issues with this babe. I'm still nervous but it gets better! Especially once you can hear or see the babe!

I forgot to say that I loved Ghana too! Probably would have extended for another year because I loved my students so much. However, my dh and I had "other" plans (got pregnant with my dd a couple months after we returned!).

Thanks everyone!
