Aaaargh!

So much for a short labour! Skimming through some of the other posts I see there are a few of us in the same boat. I've been contracting for two days now, major bloody show throughout the night last night. Strong contractions every 7 minutes or so from midnight on. Woke from a little rest at 8am with baby not moving (after major acrobatics after nearly every contraction since they started) and headed to the hospital in a panic. Great news is baby is fine and was fine and was just catching some zzz's with momma. Bad news is that after all of that I was only 1cm!!! Worse news is that contractions have eased off (though they are still feeling very strong) throughout the day so I'm just in a holding pattern. Yeah, I know my body is only doing what it needs to do, but couldn't it do it all a bit faster : : : ?

I hope it works out better for you than it did for me.

Hang in there! You'll be holding your baby soon!

How frustrating! I hope things pick up soon.

Hang in there... I told DH tonight that I am quitting and we can try again in a few years! I am SO freakin' tired of hours and hours of cx that just stop and start, hurt enough to keep me awake and then go away. Blech.. Hope things pick up speed for you quickly!

Hopefully labor kicked back in overnight and you won't get this until you're home with baby, but...

I'm sorry things are slow getting started. That is so frustrating and tiring! Just remember that dilation isn't the only thing going on. Although you were only 1 cm your cervix may have been changing in other ways (thinning, moving forward). Sending you fast and easy (from this point on) labor vibes!
