Go Anywhere Table and Footrest-Have you ever tried one of these?

I would love to find some sort of lap desk for my 2 y/o to be used during a long vacation. She is 22 monthes now and simply can not balance things on her lap. I found this at One Step Ahead but I am definately open to other suggestions.

We don't have that one, but we do have a footrest and lap desk. DS loves the footrest because without it his legs just dangle, and it's not nearly as comfortable. We don't use the lap desk anymore because DS likes to just look around in the car. It was good for a few months, but for us it hasn't proven useful long term. Can you detach the desk from that one and just have a footrest for those times she doesn't want a desk?
