32 weeks 5 days and baby laying sideways

should I be worried? Both my daughter and son were head down by now and stayd that way. This one was head down at my last two appointments but is now laying sideways. I would love any suggestions, I know not to lean back like on the couch or in the car. As I type this I'm in bed on my side with my top let on top of pillows like an L shape.
I'm wondering if I should go to a chiropractor, I have never gone or an accupuncturist which I also haven't done. Any opinions would be greatly appreciated thanks!

There is definitely still time for the baby to move, but I'd be doing everything in my power to get the baby moved! With my last pregnancy (5 years ago), the baby was transverse off and on throughout the pregnancy. The midwife I had at the time kept saying, "Oh, there's plenty of time, he'll turn. Don't worry." So, I didn't worry. When I went into labor, my water broke with him transverse, and I ended up with an emergency c-section. If I had had ANY idea how greatly that one surgery would affect the rest of my life (trying to VBAC in a state that isn't VBAC friendly, trying to find a good provider, etc), I would have stood on my head, lied on my side, done ANYTHING to get him out of transverse lie. But nobody told me then.

Check out www.spinningbabies.com if you haven't already, and I'd definitely see a chiropractor who is trained in working with pregnant women. Ask your midwife... Most homebirth midwives will know of a good chiro nearby who's trained in techniques that help with baby positioning.

I agree at this point there is plenty of time but I would find a chiropractor in your area that is certified in the Webster Technique.

Good luck,

Thanks so much for the advice! I went to the ICPA locator and found we only have one chiropractor certified here in Albuquerque to do the Webster technique so I made an appointment.
Hopefully this will help

I just posted about this in the March 2007 forum. Had the appointment yesterday, I'm 32 weeks and baby is sideways more head down than up but not head down totally. I'll check out that web site.

DD was transverse til 36 weeks, and then flipped, and I had the natural birth I wanted-so you do have time!
Google for ideas-I went to the chiro, and spent lots of time standing up-from what I remember, this was recommended, and to avoid lying on your back, and even on your side. I also remember doing some odd stretches that were supposed to help tip the baby head down into the pelvis...I know this isn't particularly specific, but all the info is online! And FWIW, I think it definitely helped.
GL!

Alex was transverse up until 37 weeks 5 days. I was literally being prepped for a c-section when he flipped: obviously, the adrenaline told him that it was time to stop messing about.
It's more common with a later baby because your uterus has a bit more give in it, but I have a theory that babies who stay transverse longer turn out to be taller (longer) babies. Just do EVERYTHING possible to keep your membranes intact. No internals at all.
