crazy idea?

I've always used cotton prefolds in a PUL cover, but I've recently had friends show me the wonderfully trim qualities of pocket diapers with microfiber type inserts. I also like the fact that the fleece layer keeps baby's skin away from wetness. I've considered making my own pockets, but the time for construction and cost of materials has made me consider other options. So, here's my maybe crazy idea: I've wondered if I could make a sleeve of sorts out of microfleece and stuff it with one of those microfiber towels I've read about here. I would then place the stuffed sleeve in one of my covers. Has anyone tried this or heard of anyone doing it?

TIA,
Amy

Karen Fegelman of Hyena Cart did that for her kids - she said it worked wonderfully.

Thanks Catalabela and Mehndi Mama! I think I will go ahead with this idea. Now I just need to find some microfleece. The local Joann's had some prints, but they were very pricey. I appreciate your input! Thanks again.

Hey Amy- make sure you look at the clearance at Joann's, I've gotten some microfleece there for $1 a yard! Also, you don't *have* to use microfleece, any normal fleece will work, and Joann's often has their "alpine fleece" on sale for $2.99/yd.
