Looky my new dipes I made!!! VB fitted AIOs

These are my favorite dipes I have made so far! They are AIOs (well, really AI2s) made from the Very Baby Fitted pattern. The outer layer is lightweight windpro, there is a hidden layer of hemp jersey, and the inner layer is very yummy bamboo/organic cotton velour. The snap-in soaker is bamboo velour plus some hidden layers of microfibre towel. This is a great pattern, so versatile!

Thanks!! I got the fleece from diapercuts.com and the bamboo velour from sewdiapers.com. It wasn't that hard, I just followed the VB fitted pattern and put fleece on the outer layer instead of the fashion print. I don't own a serger so they are all turned and topstitched. You can get the VB patterns at diapershop.com. The fleece is definitely bulkier than PUL but it breathes better and it is soft!

Yes DD tried them out yesterday and today. They held some heavy wetting and bf poo with no leaks...woo hoo! I was psyched because I made some dipes with flannel and they leaked right through.

I have never bought fabric on line and I am scared to do it because I am still learning about fabric. Plus I have never used a pattern because I don't know how I always free hand what I sew ( slings, bags, and longies) Could I make it big enough for a 30 pound 21 month old?

I see you got some great advice on the other thread! Yes there are lots of fabrics you can buy in stores. I would start with flannel because it is so cheap.
