Oh, the calls, the calls, the calls, calls, calls!

I am going to stop calling people and answering the phone! Every person I have spoked with today has begun the conversation with a "So..." or outright "Are you in labor?" They are driving me nuts! :

I told the last person who asked that I was going to be pregnant forever and that they could stop asking, as I would not be having a baby any time soon. It's my own stupid fault for telling everyone that I was measuring ahead and that the last U/S gave a due date of 1/9. Although I did try to hedge it by explaining that u/s are very inaccurate at the end and that the 1/17 due date from the early u/s was the most accurate. Well, my MIL told everyone at Christmas that I would have the baby in two weeks or less. Then after the car accident, she said "Well, I just thought they would induce you, since you are so far along and were at the hospital!" My FIL said to me yesterday, "I thought that they changed your due date? To 1/9? You are already late, right?" I keep reminding them that I was 11 days late with DD and I am still 4 days from my due date. So fed up with the phone calls! I feel like a watched pot!

Oh, I feel the same way! I cried with frustration the last time I answered the phone. Just back off already, people! I stopped answering calls two days ago- and I am due the 15th!

Me too!! Every time the phone rings my dh says "Are you still pregnant?" and laughs...IT'S NOT FUNNY! I have gotten a ton more phone calls in the last month than in the entire year before that.:

Here too. Everytime I call someone they answer the phone in this frantic voice. I have to start every conversation with "I'm not in labor!!!". My FIL keeps calling "just to check in". I had to finally ask my husband, "does he think we won't call him when the baby's here????" And I'm not even due til Tuesday!!!! I've managed to keep my sense of humor this far but as irritable as I am someone's bound to get an earfull sooner or later!!

the funny thing is, is that all my family keeps calling my mum and asking her?!? only one girl that sits near me at work keeps calling me (which is annoying, since we arent really that close) - other than my mum and my sister, who call me daily of course. it is still annoying though, i cant imagine if tons of ppl were calling me - i think i would surely be ignoring calls too!! i would say it was definitely a good idea when i moved this last time and DIDNT get a land line - i only have my cell phone....
