Is this my period? I had some spotting yesterday and now it's like a verrrry light period. I've NEVER had a period this soon after birth. I exclusively breastfeed. This morning I was very nauseous and weak, I feel very similiar to how I felt the very first time I ever had my period. I'm not pregnant, I've taken a test and it's negative. I read somewhere that sometimes you can spot around 6 weeks because of hormones...? Is it safe to assume I'm having my period already?

I started mine again at7 weeks pp despite exclusive breastfeeding and the first two were really light (annovulatory, I'm sure). I guess everyone is different! A bummer for us since we were supposed to get a break from it for awhile!

i had a strange thing after ds was born... i bled/spotted for six weeks and then when i thought i was done, i got what seemed to be a period (fresh blood/rather heavy) for almost all of week seven. i exclusively breastfed and was surprised...but then i didn't end up getting my period again until six or seven months after he was born. maybe you'll end up with something similar--i wouldn't worry!
OK, well this is day 3 and I'm still bleeding. It's watery and still very very light. Should I assume this is definately my period?

Didn't read other's responses but yes, if you don't want another child right away, assume it is your period!
I mean, I seriously doubt it is indeed your period. But there is that possiblility and unless you want to be celebrating 2 kids birthdays within the same year...use some birth control until you figure this one out!!
