Anyone see "The Terminal" (Tom Hanks)

My dh TIVO'd it and we watched it last night and today. It was so sweet and moving! It reminded me in a way of "Castaway" where it takes forever and you should be bored, but you are just so engrossed in it! And I was so annoyed with Amelia (stewardess, Catherine Zeta-Jones) decision!!! (won't give it away if you haven't seen it yet. Or should I? Its from 2004 )

I love Tom Hanks. I liked the movie, but it wasn't one of his best. I'm glad I rented it rather than paying $8 to see it.

I definately enjoyed it more than I expected to!

oh my...

I kindly disagree.

In my house, the Terminal is joked about as the worst movie we've seen recently! I found it boring and loaded with product placement.

I used to like Tom Hanks, but not his recent stuff...

I did like it, but I saw it in theatre when it came out.

But seemed like it went on forever..I was really starting to wonder if movie would ever end.

I agree. I thought it was terrible.

One reason is that DH saw an article in the newspaper about the man this movie is based on. He and I started writing a screenplay and before it was finished, Terminal came out. ARGH! Our plot was diff but eerily we had similar characters and even camera shots. Weird. Maybe one day we'll pick it up and work on it again...dunno.

But other than that, it was just so flat. CZJ looked good but her acting was sub-par. I hated the set, the cartoon-like character Stanley Tucci was playing. It was just all so terrible.

I loved, loved, loved it! It re-awakened my awareness and sensitivity.
