1st time mom - and no morning sickness

I am super excited - it will be our first! Found out last Wednesday, am in my third week. Other than tender breasts and slight cramping/fullness I don't feel any different.

I haven't felt sick... and am secretly hoping for a little bit of queasiness (though I understand how horrible I could be feeling too). I know that the Dr. Sears book says not to worry, that 20% of people don't feel it, but still.

My DH and I haven't told anyone yet, so I guess this posting is my first tell! Our first appt at the Dr is Feb 14th (Happy Valentines Day!) so we plan to tell people after that.

I've figured my due date to be Sept 23nd or so. Anyone else in this board due that late in the month/know this early on? Anyway, I'm hoping for a

Oh, don't worry... there's a very good chance you'll still get sick and then you can join all of us who are currently miserable

With my first I didn't experience nausea until around 6 weeks. This time it came a little earlier...

Some other symptoms I experienced early on: sore breasts, heightened sense of smell, acne, burping... maybe some of those will put your mind at ease?

ETA: I forgot to say CONGRATULATIONS! (I blame it on my preggo brain - you will soon find yours is empty!)

Don't worry about not feeling nauseous. My mom only had m/s with 1/3 pregnancies. I have only felt slightly sick to my stomach occassionally. Starting this weekend, the sickness picked up a little bit and I've felt kind of nauseous almost all day.

CONGRATS! I wouldn't worry either. I didn't have ms with my first 2 and don't feel sick now. I would start feeling a little quezy if I went too long between meals though...which I why I eat breakfast, morning snack, lunch, afternoon snack, etc.
I also found out this time when I was 4 weeks (LMP). According to my LMP and conception date I'm right around Sept. 21. Welcome to the group!

Congrats! I am preggo with #1 as well!

Morning sickness kicked in for me at 6 weeks. Fortunately it hasn't been THAT bad (no vomiting). My mom swears she had no morning sickness with either me or my sister so I had been hoping to avoid

Thanks, ladies. I do feel better, knowing that the sickness may still come, or just the tiny bit of flutters that I feel now may be all that I feel....

I'm so excited to have folks to talk with stuff like this about online... since we're waiting to tell anyone until mid-Feb, I'm feeling so alone... and so happy. I'm usually sharing every little (TMI) detail to my friends, it almost feels deceptive to not share.

I do have two real-life friends that I know lurk (and occasionally post) here,so what if they see my post and find out... is there some 'secrecy etiquette' around chatting online?

I'm in the same situation regarding a lack of morning sickness. : I was/am a bit 'not quite right' feeling today, but nothing approaching feeling like I am going to throw up. A few dark chocolate covered Altoids (saw them for the first time this weekend!) seems to have done the trick so far.

pisces-in-vt - I'd hope that your friends are good enough friends and respectful enough that if they bumped into your good news here that they would only share their excitement with you until you decide to share the news with everyone. I don't know of any 'secrecy etiquette' but I guess you could also pre-empt any 'news leakage' and send them a PM with the news and the request not to tell anyone?

Not in your ddc but saw under new posts.

I wouldn't worry at all. I know they say morning sickness is a good sign of a sticky pregnancy but I've had three kids and never any morning sickness. Like others have said, it could still show up, but if not just be thankful that you are in the lucky minority.

I wouldn't worry. I had no sickness or even quezieness with my first. And this time around I have not had any yet (knock on wood) either. But I am not exactly sure how far along I am because I am still nursing and my cycle was quite screwy, but I am pretty sure it is sometime in September. The only reason I tested was because I had 'thrush' that would not go away and I wanted to rule out being pg and found out that I was.

With dd I felt great until about 6 1/2 weeks then it hit me over the course of a few days & I was miserable until 14 weeks.
So! You may still end up with it, after all!
(I'm reassuring myself here, too )

Pisces : Our due dates are nearly identical. I have no morning sickness either and have the exact same symptoms as you, but no cramping this time.

Like others, I also didn't get sick until 6 weeks last time, this time it started at 5w3d, fun fun!!

COngrats on your first little one!

Congratulations!

Six weeks definitely seems to be the magic number for M/S. I get confused about counting weeks (Monday was the completion of my sixth week, so that means I'm in week 6? Or 7?), but I don't have any M/S either. At least I don't think I do. I have a sort of constant feeling of weirdness, which feels much like when I try to read in a moving vehicle. I'm nowhere near actually vomitting, but I sure don't feel 100%, either!

Hopefully both of us will never feel the real deal. Fingers crossed for you!

I'm due Sept. 24th-ish I think. I never get sick until 6 or 7 weeks along.

With my first I didn't experience morning sickness until almost 7 weeks. I'm due the 13th and haven't thrown up yet, but the nausea set in maybe 2 days ago.

My due date is also Sept 21st and have had little if no MS. If I wait too long to eat between meals I find that I get a little queasy. This is also my first. I am in the process of trying to find an OB...any suggestions on how to search?

I'm due Sept 30th, as late in the month as a person can be. I think it's way too early for me to be sick...I'm sure I'll get my turn. I feel almost exactly the same way you've discribed. Full is a great way to describe it...I used to call it "fat", but full is more accurate. I've had 1 or two cramps today, and have felt nauseaus twice, but I'm not sure if that is a symptom, or if I just didn't like my food.
