Did you pee in your pool?!
And poop, too. Actually, I didn't pee pee or poop on purpose. It was just birth!
I voted no, but not because of the eww factor. I labor really fast, so I didn't have to go while I was laboring. I might have peed in the pool if I'd needed to go. Urine is sterile.

I'd also add that it is possible that some urine leaked during pushing but I was too busy to notice

Hmmm, I don't know. Never thought about it. I will have to watch my videos really closely. I didn't on purpose but that doesn't mean I didn't at all.
Not on purpose, but maybe accidentally? I think I pooped too but the MW took care of it so quick I'm not sure.

Peed ummm not on purpose if I did, Now pooped yup..

I peed a bit with every push with my waterbirth. It actually made me very happy to be in the water as I felt very relaxed to go ahead and let my bladder do its thing while I did mine.

I didn't poop in the water, but I did have some gas For a bit, it was sort of like a jaccuzzi kiddie pool

Nope, I wasn't in there very long before DD2 was born.

I'm such an idiot...I read the title of this post "seasoned water birthers"...and thought the OP was talking about actually seasoning the water in the birthing tub...you know, salt, sugar, something?

Well, did you know? A little sprinkle of Johnny's seasoning salt in the birth water helps relieve labor pains?
Nope, I was only in the pool for about 40 minutes before DD was born. If I had to go pee, I wouldn't have had any qualms about doing in the tub, though.
I said No but maybe I did. Who knows. My water broke in the tub and there was planty of blood, amniotic fluid and vernix floating around so maybe some pee too? Nobody would have noticed.
I haven't birthed yet so I'm not seasoned, but I have no qualms about peeing in the pool. Urine is sterile, no biggie to me! So yes, if I'm in the pool and I ever have to pee I'll be one of those who peed in the pool.

I am however paranoid of pooping in the pool. Which is why I'm one of those freaks that will voluntarily do an enema at the start of labor LOL

I voted no, but not because I think it's gross. I just had a short labor and didn't have to pee at all. If I had to, I probably would have just gone in the pool.
I voted no, but not because of an eww factor. It just didn't come up. I peed several times before I got in and only had a 2 1/2 labor.
Yes- you weren't getting me out of there- no way no how.

Yeah, I think you can throw a knife in the water to cut the pain in half, too.

So, uh, I'm a waterbirth failure. I shouldn't really post to this thread, but I'm just so insanely jealous of you all in your glorious waterbirthing selves that I have to post... plus I wanted to add the part about the knife.

Yep! Pooped Too

I know I didn't my first waterbirth...and I don't think I did with my last. If I did, I would definitely not say Ew! A little urine is nothing anymore
