on a tissue level - pre eclampsia has certain charteristics Infant and /or maternal spiral arteries do not relax dilate and intertwine so that good exchange can happen- so anything that would change/effect microcirculation- including implantation too shallowly, too deeply, implantation at the right depth but the arteries are already damaged- like in people with metabolic, hypertensive or diabetic disorders -- or for some people immune system triggered against fetal tissues
from studies we can say certain people may be at increased risk- but we can not say for certain who will get pre eclampsia- it is complex with many women who get it in pregnancy and the only risk factor is that it is their first pregnancy-
