A question for those of you who have been through panic

Is it normal to feel lightheaded/dizzy all the time? The really bad panic started Thursday, and ever since then I've been lifgtheaded, and needing to avoid sudden movements. Even between the panic attacks. Is this normal, or is there something else wrong with me? :

Lightheadedness is really common with panic attacks. You could also be hypoglycemic, which would contribute to the panic and would also make you dizzy. Do you eat a lot of sugary-type foods or drink a lot of caffeine? This could cause changes in your blood sugar, which would make you dizzy and also contribute to panic/anxiety.

Either way, I would talk to your doctor about it, and make sure that it's nothing physical, then talk about ways to deal with panic/anxiety. You could have really low blood pressure, which could be related to the dizziness, too.

I have suffered from anxiety/panic attacks for 15 years. The constant dizziness/lightheadedness is something that is very common and can happen anywhere, at anytime, anxious or not. There was a time period when I had to hold on to stuff to keep from falling over...this lasted 3 months!! Sometimes there is just a constant lightheadedness....it worsens with hormones, so usually it's worse when I'm pregnant, nursing, or pmsing.

You are not alone and it is normal. Mine was so bad I even had 2 brain mri's and trip to the ENT. Normal.

There is a site that has helped me immensely...it is www.nomorepanic.co.uk
