Touchtape shredding?

Has anyone had this happen? I emailed OSDS, where I bought this, but haven't heard back yet (I emailed 5 days ago... starting to wonder if I'll hear back...). I bought a 25 yd roll, and so far the dipes I've made for my own use have all had the Touchtape shredding on them I'm HOPING that this isn't happening on the dipes I've sold to people
Am I doing something wrong with them? I use different color thread to indicate my different sizes, so I usually sew the touchtape down with a twin needle (one thread white and one thread the size color), with a straight stitch, all the way around it. I really think it's just this roll of Touchtape though, b/c the others I've sewn that are older (from the roll before this one) don't have anything like this happening.
I'm so disappointed, I'm going to have to semi-deconstruct my dipes to sew new Touchtape onto them... not to mention if this starts happening on customer dipes... and I had heard OSDS was good for their customer service (I ordered from them this time b/c I had a problem with Wazoodle the time before), but I guess I'm not too impressed because I emailed so long ago (in terms of customer service) and still haven't heard back
Any advice?

I've always zigzag'd aplix on mine. I know that if I don't do it with half the stitch on the aplix and half off, it will start to fray eventually. I've never straight stitched it on, so I'm probably not much help. I don't know how much aplix differs from TT when it comes to fraying..

Real TouchTape shouldn't shred any more than Velcro or Aplix.

If you tape is shredding, you may have got your hands on a tape that is not designed for used in garments. H/L tapes designed for non-garment use may not be heat fused on the edges -- these tapes with most certainly shred when laundered.

What problem did you have with Wazoodle? I buy a lot of their diaper making stuff. Their quality is the best, service is pretty good.
