UGhhh I just want to curl up in a ball and cry. My OB who is low-intervention and has done all my other deliveries....will now be out until early Aug. He had to have surgery. His partner will be gone starting Friday through the 30th as well. That leaves with whomever happens to be on call of the other 3 OBs here in town and all three are so pro-c-section as 'easier' with twins I have an appt next week with the OB who is 'fill in' for my docs practice. He's a former military doc who just joined their practice part-time after retiring. So, I guess he's my only shot at a vaginal birth.....I hope he's nice! Or that these babies hold on until after 38 weeks!

Babies are here! Longer than usual labor for me (5.5hr ) Babies trying to nurse.

Dayton and Erin are pleased to announce the birth of their twin girls! The babies were born July 18th, 2007 at home in Bangkok, Thailand.

Shira Faith
meaning “song of faith”

6 lb 8 oz

Miriam Joy
meaning “tears of joy”
10:41 am
6 lb 14 oz

Erin and the babies are doing very well. Grace and Isaiah got to watch their sisters be born and are so excited. Dayton has realized there aren’t enough arms to hold all four children!

Praise God for our many blessings!

Wow Erin! Congratulations! 5.5 hrs-oh to be so blessed. Glad to hear everyone is doing well and that your babies are good size. Love the names too!

Keep hanging in there Fyre. They just need to cook a little longer, but feel free to share the frustration here. We totally understand.

Congratulations! I can't wait to hear the whole birth story (with pictures, of course), but for now, snuggle those little babies and get any sleep you can

How is it going today fyre?

I had my NST today and Baby A is estimated at 7 lbs?? It had to be a mistake. The OB even came in and said he thought so too LOL So, we'll have our 'usual' one on Monday and see if it's "true". If it is, there is a 2 lbs weight difference!

Wow That's a good sized baby! Mine were 7lbs 15oz and 6lbs 12 oz as of wednesday. Still doing fine. I have been SOOO stressed out that my bp is bad. I had to do a 24 hour urine collection to check for protein (for the benefit of the doubt that I might not have pre-e) and it it comes back pos enough we schedule induction. I'm going to try to put it off as long as possible though (til my due date if I can). I'm having some contractions, but not like I did on tuesday. Tomorrow I take castor oil again... hopefully I can still have them at home and avoid anymore stress. I guess I can always just not go in, but I'll still get the nagging phone calls and that's no good for my stress level either. One way or another it will be over soon.

I have pre-e darn darn darn darn. I'm on bedrest til birth day. Dr doesn't think I need any intervention at this time however. I see the Midwife monday and then have an nst and bpp. They also want to redraw my labs. So it's likely i'll be induced next week unless a miracle happens and these kids decide to leave peacefully. Blarg.

How are all the mamas left doing?

I haven't been on the computer much. Been lazing around reading Harry Potter! LOL My hands/feet/knees hurt SOO much from swelling. It's hard to even sit and type on the computer BAH!

I'm still here and doing fine. Had a checkup today (37w2d). Little man has turned back breech. Other than that, the babies both look good. Just waiting now that the end is in sight. I still don't feel ready, but how ready can you be for twins?
