Pocket diapers-Is a larger PUL than fleece cut worth the extra work?

I just started working on my stash. I've tried a couple of different ways and since I don't have anyone to try them on, I'm stuck.

Do I want to use a slightly larger PUL cut as to make the PUL roll or will it do its job with identical cuts? Is it worth the effort?

I made my first several with identical cuts and have had a very hard time stuffing them. I think it's worth the effort- it's really not that big of deal. I don't know about the fleece rolling out thing, I don't know that mine leak at all or anything, they are just tight to stuff.

Good luck!

I made them equal sizes but I basted before assembling. Apparently is not the easiest way to go, but I can baste while visiting my relatives or watching tv, and use my limited cutting and sewing time in the most efficient way, while achieving very neat results

I would do it if your inners are cotton. If you have microfleece inners I don't think it matters if the PUL rolls in, and I actually prefer to put in casings so the microfleece is against the baby's leg since it is softer. I just sew the elastic on the PUL side. If I use velour or other cotton inners it must roll in or it will wick, so I cut the PUL bigger between the leg elastic points.

Another question:

I am using Lastin on pocket diapers, 2mil PUL and MM microfleece. Do I want 1/4" or 3/8"?

Thanks.
