Second Language? ( Esperanto anyone?)

Has anyone learned Esperanto with thier homeschoolers?
What second language did you choose, and why?
Our most obvious choice, as it is our country's other language, would be French. But somthing in me feels like it would be more fun to learn somthing different (or make up our own! )

we have grand plans to learn Latin to speek as a secret code, but have yet to make real inroads that way
