when did you introduce things like lentils and rice

DD is 12 months and only just starting solids. She really wants to eat and it seems like the veggies I'm giving her aren't enough (still nursing on demand). I'm going to introduce chicken and eggs soon, but I was wondering if she's still too young for things like well-cooked lentils or rice.

My girlie is 10 mo. and I would have liked to exclusively breast fed, but she just wasn't into it. When she started eating I tried to be as selective as possiable, reading all the do's and don'ts, but eventually we just went with whatever was on my plate that wouldn't seem to harsh for her stomach (no curry or raw fist sushi), but that did leave rice and lentls early (I'd say 6 mo. for bits of rice, 8 mo, lentils, it wasn't exactly planned.
She still breast feeds but, once the teeth came she was all about chomping on food.
I should mention that when we did introduce new foods we would wait a few days before trying the next, just to make sure she didn't have any bizzare bm's or rashes.

Here's that one reference I keep pasting. Per this, lentils and rice should be ok.

I'm afraid though I'm not sure what NT and WAP say. There's a pdf linked in that 22 mo thread that also mentions some of this stuff.
