CLO vs. flax seed oil

DS takes flax oil almost daily. He gets about 1.25 tablespoons, which gives him tons of omega 3s. But, they are plant derived, of course, not from fish. Is there a reason I should try to nudge him towards CLO as opposed to the flax? I've tried before and met with resistance but am always willing to try again with enough reason...

Any great reasons out there?

thanks!

the thing about CLO is that it contains Vitamins A & D, which are great for the immune system. Flax oil does not.

As for the omega-3s, most people, especially babies and children, cannot really efficiently make DHA from the ALA in flax oil (ALA can theoretically be converted to DHA in our bodies, but it really doesn't convert all that well.) your ds would probably be better off with CLO for the vitamins and for the DHA, but i would still give him the flax oil, as it is still good for him.

: Explained much more eloquently than I could have done.
