finally, an answer on the "standard" milk...and another question...

i emailed Avalon, and "standard" milk is unhomogenized.

now my question...

i have the option of organic homogenized whole milk, or non-organic unhomogenized whole milk. the dairy is a very reputable one, very clean, very good to their cows. i asked about pasturing, and the organic cows have access to grass for a minimum of 16 hours a day, while the non-organic cows "get out here and there, and not for a specific amount of time."

so would you go for the organic homogenized, mainly grassfed milk, or the non-organic unhomogenized sort-of grassfed milk, which is nevertheless from a very good farm. i'm thinking i'll stick with the organic homo...

SIGH...i so miss raw milk.

Is the organic homogenized vat pasturized or stream pasturized (as is most conventional milk)? If so, that would probably persuade me even more to get the organic homogenized.

However, the fact that the organic milk you mentioned has more access to grass might be enough for me to go that route...

Don't you wish things were so much easier?

We drink Avalon's Half & Half milk. It's organic, non-homogenized, and has no added vitamins. It is pasteurized, of course. You can always water it down a bit if it's too thick for you.
