virtual charter families -HELP!!!

My son is in a virtual charter school, Colorado virtual academy in third grade, Standardized testing time is coming up, and as we are doing the practice tests he is becoming more and more anxious, what will happen if we refuse to do these tests? He is only 9 years old, and they have scheduled 3 half days of testing!!!! We are not planning on using this curriculum next year, so we're not worried about being allowed to "re-enroll". I guess I'm worried about the stress levels he seems to be having, and don't feel it's necessary. Thanks in advance for your suggestions!

i think you have to do them. Do you have a teacher that works with you? I would ask. I know in Ohio they are mandatory. We are with OHVA, and Im un-enrolling my ds next week, its been a negative experience for us.

I would imagine that the standardized tests would be required for a charter school. If you're not planning to use the charter school next year, why not just pull the child out of the school right before the standardized tests are to be taken?
