I've been a little disappointed with this lately, too. It started out so good, with the breastfeeding and all, but now all she wants to do is get away from her baby. Sad. In today's comic, she was saying that she only has 45 minutes of peace and quiet a day while Meredith sleeps. 45 minutes!? I wish! My dd sleeps in my arms for naps, so I get zero time to myself throughout the day... but I wouldn't change a thing, and I'm certainly not itching to get away from her.

Isn't that comic written by a man? How could he relate? And what about Funky Winkerbean, allowing his baby to cry it out. Great messages that are being sent out

while i don't like how deanna seems to resent her situation (and d's mom drives me nuts) at least it might work out for michael to be at home, so the babe gets one familiar face. we'll see. my guess is that lynn johnston is trying to portray to her audience that mom's don't "just" have to be moms....... it is really too bad how negative deanna is treating everything. we'll jusy have to see.
