I am currently using a mouthpeice that keeps me from clenching down. I am also going to try hypnosis. The mouth peice is working because I am awar while I am sleeping when I clench down, so I am not doing it as often.

We use a mouthpiece for my daughter as well. We bought one of those teeth whitening kits that has a soft rubber-like mouthpiece and trimmed it to fit her mouth. It is nice and soft,so it hasn't bothered her to use it.

Likely a cause as to why this happens.

Magnesium is highly correlated, I think Krispin Sullivan's site talks about it. Natural Calm is a good supplement.

Epsom salt baths can help due to the magnesium absorption.

I would suggest focusing on finding out whay it's happening. It's likely either a mineral imbalance or a parasitic infection. Both can cause grinding of the teeth. Once you know the cause you can better treat it.
