Ok, I just found these forums about a week ago, been reading religiously since I found them(great for those long nights that I can't sleep anymore!) and have been reading Mothering mag for months now! I am hooked!!!
A little about me, I am a 27 yr old first time mom to be who has decided to home water birth. I have lots of questions as I am sure most first time moms do and I figured this was a good place to ask, but I wanted to introduce myself before I flood the forums with questions!
My name is Kara and my husband of 3 years, Chad(but this is our 10 yr non-married anniversary) has been super supportive throughout the whole pregnancy. My mother is scared to death and won't be there for the birth(she had an emergency c with my sister for cord wrapped), and my dad is a typical guy, kind of nervous but mostly supportive. My MIL was very excited to hear I was doing homebirth, surprisingly enough and FIL is just happy to be having a new grand daughter, he could care if she came via satellite..lol
My family hasn't been much involved, friends haven't either, although now everyone is calling like every DAY(driving me CRAZY, like I wouldn't TELL them I had the baby???), but I like it like that because I have been pretty stress free because not many have inserted their two cents.
I am so excited to meet my baby girl Lea as soon as possible(any any day would be great, hear that little girl? LOL)! So just wanted to say hello, now off to post lots and lots of questions
