I think it spells it out quite nicely.

Regardless of what the left says I will always love George W., be a Republican, and love all things conservative. Reading political comments and threads on MDC reminds me even more why I am a conservative!

Yes, still love him.

Ditto TexasSuz

I love it when someone says that they will ALWAYS do such and such no matter what. : So are you saying that no matter what Dubya does, you will always love him? What if he slept with an intern and lied to the country about it? What if the Republican party added a policy to their platform that really burned you up? You would still love "all things conservative" if one in particular didn't sit right with you? What about opening up your mind long enough to realize that maybe just maybe down the line there will be a reason for you not to agree with the republican party, with all things conservative or with Dubya the president. I think it's really dangerous to follow anything blindly.

I would never presume to say that I will ALWAYS be a liberal and love all things liberal...because I haven't been and I don't.

It's nice to have my opinion of Texas and Texans validated.

I'm not assuming anything. My post is a direct response to TexasSuz saying she will always be a republican, always love Bush and always love all things conservative. My question simply was how can you close yourself off like that?? To me, when you say you will always love a certain leader, you are following him/her blindly. *shrugs*

I also don't think that one silly site should change anyone's mind but leaving yourself no room to change or grow is silly and dangerous in my opinion.

Deep down inside GW

This is simply food for thought. Read it or not.

I won't be replying to responses since this is not representative of my opinion...so don't hold me responsible for the words or thoughts, if you feel "challenged" by this piece.
