$10 off using google checkouts - scam

I ordered a book for a few dollars more than amazon (we're talking like $3 difference after shipping) in order to get the $10 off by using google checkouts - and I haven't seen my $10 credit yet. I even emailed them about it!

Hello *,

Thank you for your email. I have looked in your account and it appears
that you are right, you should have received your bonus on this order.

We are currently looking into your situation and will reply to you
shortly. We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused, and
appreciate your patience and understanding while we look into this.

...
That was Jan 12 and I haven't heard anything back from them yet, no credit listed to my CC or anything yet.

Weird, it worked for me (I ordered a xmas present from TRU online), I had the $10 taken off immediately! Hope it gets resolved soon.

Worked for me too.

I did TRU too

and it worked for me

It didn't work with the first site I tried though.

I ordered a magazine (Wondertime) from Magz4cheap but it didn't take 10 dollars off. Since I got a great deal I didn't bother to cancel. Don't worry, I'd already budgeted the money

Well, should I continue to bug google customer service about it, or maybe dispute the charge on my CC bill? (because I only authorized an $11.50 charge instead of $21.50) I'm pretty pissed, I feel scammed.

I'd dispute it with your cc. Last year I bought my dad a couple of books of Amazon for his birthday. I ordered them about 10 days before his birthday and they never showed. My attempts to reconcil this with Amazon got nowhere. My disputed claim was paid right away. I think Amazon doesn't bother to work with customer service claims and would just rather give you your our money back.

It worked for me too because I chose the google checkout option when I paid.
I suspect they will get on top of it and refund your money.

I used it back in October to order from Sierra Trading Post and it came off my order immediately. That is so wierd! I hope it gets sorted out for you.

Is it still going on (the $10 google check-out?) I don't see it on the google opening page anymore...

If google drags there feet any more, then yes, I would dispute it. Just tell the bank, cc company that you only authorized the 11.50.
