Remineralizing Resource

Just wanted to post this link: http://www.dentist.net/amorphous-calcium-phosphate.asp

It lists a lot of products on the market right now that have remineralizing agents to help prevent/heal cavities. Many professionals are considering this as an alternative to flouride that is a lot more effective and safe, since it is food grade vitamins and minerals designed to add protective agents to your saliva, protecting teeth.

The Recaldent (GC Tooth Mouse) and Novamin (Oravive) are most helpful, IMO. We've used both.

Thanks for posting. I am interested in finding more out about this. In the last 5 years, I went from no cavities in over a decade to about 15...and extremely sensitive teeth. This cannot be right.

I have just started using the oravive on myself , 2 older kids who already have permanent teeth and am trying with ds 3 1/2. Am having a difficult time, since he does'nt like mint flavoring, : I have been trying to put alittle on the toothbrush and then put the zylitol one that he likes on top. I'd really like to hear about your experience with remineralizing since ds 3 1/2 has really bad decay in bottom molars and having been through "dental treatment"(pulpotomies etc with an older child , Iam trying to avoid it now, since , it is very$$$$ and ...well I'll just say that there were problems with the caps, and it just seemed to me, more of a cosmetic/bandaid kind of thing and not a real solution....just imho . It hasn't gotten worse, but doesn't seem to be getting better either.
thanks for posting that info

The Recaldent might be worth your time...they have a gum and tooth mousse. www.breezecare.com has it and if you go to the member area and type in breeze as the user name and 2006 as the pword, you get a % off.
