Cleaning Party Time!!! - Page 3

It wasn't as big a mess as I made it out in my mind to be! 15 minutes of cleaning in there has the kitchen cleaner than it was when I woke up this morning!!! Hooray!

I think I'll see what 15 minutes in the family room can do now!
15 more minutes for me. I helped 3 yo ds get his room cleaned and I decluttered a bunch of stuff from the top of his dresser. So now his room is clean. Thats 3 sessions down and 5 more to go tonight.

1)finish picking up my room(hang up clothes I draped over my chair, pick up various clutter things in there)
2)laundry:fold towels, dry comforter, wash cloth dipes
3)pick up living room
4)work in play room
5)vacuum all front rooms and bedrooms(would be whole house except that the playroom wont be vacuumable im sure)

I'll also be making dinner and unloading dishwasher and cleaning up in there again. I think a couple of us posted about keeping our kitchens clean and working from there. Mine has stayed clean for over a week now except for needing mopped which I plan on mopping tomorrow along with entry way and bathrooms.

WOOOHOOO CRUNCHYMOMOF2!! I am impressed with a kitchen staying clean for a week. Mine is cleaner than normal and I will try and start on that first everytime I do my cleaning. I am hoping a clean kitchen will be contagious to the rest of the house!

My family room is now 15 minutes cleaner which included me having time to give some much needed attention to an indoor plant that I really like but was looking really pitiful! I also moved the plant to the kitchen where I will hopefully do better at remembering to water it! And maybe a pretty plant in the kitchen will help me want to keep the kitchen clean.

For now, Hubby is up so I'm gonna go spend some time with him.

Thanks ladies for letting me drop in during cleaning party time. Just 30 minutes really did make a huge difference!

I've been doing DDR for exercise also (the 'exercise' on my to do list means DDR). We bought a playstation last Sunday just so I can play this game. I have never found an exercise I can get excited about and actually do not want to stop doing. I am addicted to it!

I am watching the Patriots and Colts game and just waiting for halftime so I can DDR.

Well, the entire upstairs is done...whew! My body is aching...

Our bedroom is completely done, the kids room is completely done, the hallway is completely done. The bathroom is straightened and ready to be scrubbed...tomorrow!

I just have two blankets to finish washing/drying. Then every single solitary piece of fabric (except for the ones on our bodies )will be washed/dried/folded and put away. I haven't been able to say that for years.

The kitchen is still in disarray - I made dinner, but didn't clean up all the way. The living room and dining room need an hours worth of attention, at least, to be finished. :

The basement probably needs an hour as well. Sigh.

I really wanted to be done tonight.

I finished #'s 2,3,6. Actually dh did #3 : on his own. I am going to get #1 done. I dont know if I will get the playroom stuff done. But I am happy with what I did get done. The vacuuming has to wait because kids are asleep.

I am editing my list from yesterday. I'm leaving the things I accomplished yesterday, so I can be proud of me, and rearranging so I can see what needs to be done still.

Get gas in both cars
Clean out the frig
Fold and put away clean laundry
Sort, wash, fold, and put away dirty laundry (probably 4 loads)
Change sheets on our bed
Per my decluttering challenge for the month, get rid of at least 54 things (actually got rid of about 100 things!)
Put away clean handwashed dishes.
Empty dishwasher and repack.
Exercise!
Finish knitting my cousin's Christmas present. :

Since it will be dark when I get home from work, I can not do any outside projects today. These items will have to be put off for a while:

9. Plant tomatoes and peas
10. Mow the lawn
11. Cut down strange tree beside the house.
12. Finish clearing out the planting bed in front of the house

So this is my list for today. I got to work at 7:00 am today and won't be home until 6:00 pm. I probably will not get everything done, but I should be able to make major progress.

3. Clean both bathrooms (I am 1/2 done with 1 bathroom)
4. Finish organizing guest room so parents can sleep there Tuesday night
5. Put away the Christmas decorations (1/2 done)
13. General pick up of the entire house (only 1 room left)
14. Clean all the floors, either mopping or vacuuming
16. Spend at least 1 hour on organizing financial paperwork
19. Clean off kitchen counters.
20. Finish Cleaning the fronts of the cupboards in the kitchen.
21. Organize the two files I brought home from work this weekend
22. Exercise!

*New* Fold and put away two loads of clean clothes
*New* Dry, fold, and put away clothes in washer
*New* Wash, dry, fold, and put away two loads of clothes

The above laundry is in addition to the 2 loads of clean clothes that were sitting around and I put away yesterday. It is also in addition to the 4 loads I washed, dried, folded, and put away yesterday. I have a tendancy to only do laundry about every 3 or 4 weeks since there is only two of us, and that is where we are right now. I LOVE that my washer has a delay timer on it -- I put a load in the washer on delay timer last night and it was washed when I got up this morning, so I could leave it in the dryer when I went to work. This morning I put another load in the washer and put it on delay timer so it will be done washing when I get home. I don't think I'd ever have enough time to do laundry and work full time if it wasn't for this amazing feature!

Seeing your lists with the happy faces is so motivating!

Our cleaning party will continue after we get back from gymnastics, and I'll probably eat lunch first too. Then we'll finish the whole first floor (dh is coming home early from work).

Gotta get ready to go!

I made it though almost my entire kitchen and decluttered every cabinet, drawer and cupboard minus 2 so that's on my list for today.

As well,
-vacuum the main floor
-Organize the shelving in the laundry room
-clean the main floor bathroom and disinfect the kitchen now that it is organized
-finish 2 more loads of laundry

Wow! That's awesome!

(I'm dragging my feet getting started...dh isn't coming home as early as I thought and I just don't want to do it all alone! Hoping this thread serves as motivation to get moving again. )
Starting AGAIN lol

1.) Bedroom
2.) counters AGAIN
3.) laundry, put all AWAY
4.) vacuum
5.)desk
Living room is completely, totally done. So is the downstairs hall.

Dh is finally home...so much for an early day. : He's about to do a load of dishes then I'll wash the counters, sweep and mop the floor.

I also need to swipe the powder room still (I'll do that while he's doing the dishes). Oh, and the bathroom upstairs.

Then we'll both help the kids straighten up the dining room.

When we're all done...after the landlord leaves...dh and I are going to Ikea, all by ourselves! Woo hoo!

List for today.
wash sheets for beds
2)vacuum all clean rooms (living room, dining room, hall, bedrooms)

4)declutter more toys
5)declutter storage closet
6)sew one project I have ready

So thats what I got done so far...I am not thinking i'll get much else done. I am totallly not in the mood to do anything. I think I will still sew though.
Okay, well everything got done before the landlord got here! Yay! I am the most organized I've been in probably over 5 years!

There are still some things I need to sort and put into bins, but our living space is completely clutter free and clean! I just need to maintain...

I plan on "partying" until everything is done. Toys are the main thing now.
I didn't get a chance to update everything last night, so I came in this morning to mark off what I got done. I really needed 1 more hour and I could have gotten all the cleaning done. Unfortunately, the floors are what is left. This makes the whole house kind of look undone because they are so obvious. But I am proud of how much I did!

After today, I'm going to be away from home for a week. We are hosting a Superbowl party on 2/4, so I'll be back on this thread next Tuesday to make some goals so everything that needs to get done before the party is done!

do laundry x
clean the bathroom up x
declutter the bedroom as much as possible
take the donate box to goodwill (probably tomorrow) x
cook the rest of the hamburger and try to start cooking/planning for the rest of the week in progress

smiley = done
