My husband's nephew pasted away Thursday. He had cystic fibrosis. The doctor's did not believe he would live past 5 years old. He died at 16 (he would have been 17 on Feb 6th. Jeremy was one of the most kind-hearted people I have ever met. He was...INCREDIBLE.

Mark is so upset about his nephew's passing and I know some of it is becaue he hasn't spent any time with him in the last 5-6 years. But, part of that is that his family (Mark's ENTIRE family) have outcasted us. We are atheists and they are strong Southern Baptists who believe we are wrong and that to associate with us would send the message that they thought we were not going to hell. Anyway, so Mark is hurting now.

Just thought I would send this out.

Regardless of how often we saw Jeremy, we still loved and cared about him.

Thank you. I'll be showing this to DH. I'm so sad that he won't be able to go to the funeral tomorrow. It's at 2:00 p.m. and Dh starts teaching tomorrow.

One of my closest friends died from Cystic Fibrosis in 1999 just months before our wedding. He was on the lung transplant waiting list and received word that there were lungs available for him just 1 day before he died.
I will keep your family in my thoughts as you get through this difficult time.

I'm sorry you have lost a friend to CF Colleen.

I don't know what the process for being on the transplant list are. But I know that Jeremy was on it twice, received two transplants, and was on the list for a third

Mark is getting ready to go to the viewing now.

Teresa,
Just wanted to drop you a note to let you know that I was thinking of you and your DH tonight - I remember how hard it was to go to my friend Brian's wake but he was suck a special guy that there were hundreds of people whose lives he had touched celebrating our friend that had left us all too soon.
CF is a horrible disease but every person I have ever met that has suffered from the disease has led a life that was full and was loved by many - I would bet that Jeremy was the same for you.
I will keep you in my thoughts.
Colleen

Jennifer and Tiger- is there an echo in here?

I'll relay your kind thoughts to DH. He is feeling much better about Jeremy's passing and knows that it is part of the circle of life. I am relieved and sad for his parents.
