Bronchitis or allergies?

Ds has been raspy and coughs in the morning,I wouldn't worry at all but a cousin had the same symptoms, about 2 weeks ago,ds played w/him the day before they found out it was bronchitis.
What exactly are the symptons of bronchitis?
I'm going to call Dr. and SIL tomorrow to find out,but i wanted to post,in case...I dunno,stress releif, I guess.

It's a non productive cough usually. So no runny nose or itchy watery eyes like in allergies. And it's not related to pollen or dust but can be related to temp or weather. Bronchitis is often long term also.
