All that I've ever heard or read about kefir has been nothing but good! I wanted to ask what your personal experiences with it has been. However, I've YET to try any!! I'd really like to, though. Early last year, we started getting raw milk from a great farmer down the road. It was then that I decided to try my hand at buttermilk, making my own butter, and even yogurt ONE time...I still have some questions, though - - and I hope that I'm not too much of a repeat of what you guys may have been asked in the past.
What does it taste like exactly? Did you have to get used to the taste?
Is it fairly easy to make a batch? Or should first-timers buy some from the health food store?
Is it totally okay for preggo women (I think I know the answer to this already!)?
My Pawpaw has been diagnosed with pancreatic cancer...and he's just now starting to get weak because he can't keep his food down...so it makes him not WANT to eat - - which in turn, makes him sicker. Should I try to MAKE some kefir for him from my raw milk or just buy some already made? Do you think it would be really good for him in his situation?
