Samantha's evaluation

Thread Starter
So yesterday we had Samantha's evaluation with a developmental pedi. So right now he really does not see anything that jumps out as a diagnosis, but does feel she will need help next year in public school. OMG-I have no idea how I am going to convince the school that she'll need help without a diagnosis and I really wanted to have things in place for the first day of school.
He does want to see her again in 6 months and before that if things get worse with her behavior. He suggested we(I) call the school and asking about their testing. I guess that is the next step. But she really doesn't seem to have a problem academically so I am not sure what the school would do.
Any words of advice from Mom's who have BTDT.
Oh she was being evaluated for Aspergers,TS,and ADHD. The ADHD he won't evaluate until at least 7 because her activity could just be on the exterme end of normal.

I agree that talking to your school is the first step. Ask them what they need from you, and what services they can provide.

I'm sorry you are going through this right now. It must be very hard for you!
