Which TV shows do you buy on DVD?

Just curious about this. We don't have tv reception so we rent/buy more DVD's than most probably.

We love comedies and dramas but find that we watch the dramas but don't buy them to watch over and over.

We own almost every season of Gilmore Girls and both seasons of The Office. We're currently watching 24 but I don't think we'll buy the DVD's as it's not something I think we'd want to watch over and over.

I'd love to get all the seasons of Boy Meets World, The Wonder Years, Friends and Seinfeld on DVD!!

The only one I have bought was Sex and the City. But I probably won't buy anymore tv shows. Netflix has an awesome selection. I highly recommend MI-5 from the BBC if you like dramas.

We use a DVD rental service (Zip.ca... Canadian, obviously). We've rented 24, and I've rented a season of Six Feet Under (gave up on it though). I've also rented The Girls Next Door (I know, stupid, stupid, stupid show). We've rented lots of movies. We never visit the actual DVD rental store anymore, and don't buy DVDs usually. My sister recommended Da Ali G Show so I may check out one of those DVDs.

DVDs we have bought have been the Trailer Park Boys (Canadian series, totally hilarious), and some kids' movies and shows.

I'm a little embarrassed to list them all, but we don't have cable and we work out from home and watch tv episodes while we work out. We have complete collections of the following:

Buffy
Angel
Firefly
Simpsons (we stopped after 4 seasons)
Futurama
Absolutely Fabulous
The Office (UK)
da Ali G Show
Wallace and Gromit

Someday I would like Veronica Mars and Gilmore Girls.

I don't buy movies or TV shows unless I find them cheap cheap cheap at a garage sale. I just don't see the point since I don't like to watch re-runs. It's hard enough to justify watching it once.

I do, however, rent plenty of complete seasons through Blockbuster Online, including:

The West Wing

Six Feet Under

The Sopranos

Fat Actress

Weeds

Curb Your Enthusiasm

In my queue are a few I plan to see but haven't yet, including:

Strangers With Candy

Carnivale

The L Word

Are the original episodes of Sex in the City A LOT different than the ones they run on TBS? I've enjoyed the episodes that run on TBS but I heard they're edited. Not sure I could handle the "real" thing!

I bought the old "Poirot" show

Otherwise, we often rent Absolutely Fabulous and Monty Python. And I have borrowed my brother's Family Guy and watched all of them.

yes, I tried watching one onTBS and I won't even bother after that but I watched it when it was on HBO so I knew what I was missing.

I really liked it too, but the last DVD I watched was the first one for Season 4. None of the storylines are interesting. Plus I know how the series ends which takes some of the shine off watching Seasons 4/5.

I own all ten seasons of Friends, as well as Mad About You seasons one, two, and a "best of" collection.

We rent from Netflix:

The X-Files
CSI
Law and Order: SVU & CI

Monk (mostly for DH, though I tend to be "more monkish than most")
Poirot

I was thinking of checking out Dr. Quinn too. I used to love that as a kid. :

We work out from home too and TV shows are perfect for those times.

I think you should give it another chance. There are some great episodes in there, including the series finale, which was great.

My friend was a big fan until the unfortunate event with David and the hitch hiker. She just couldn't handle it after that.
