Which TV shows do you buy on DVD? - Page 3

I have all the seasons of Friends the two seasons of Desperate Housewives, seasons 1,2,3 and 4 of ER
We also have some of Gilmore Girls

We don't have tv reception either (LOVE life without). But we do have all available seasons of:

Friends

Scifi:
Firefly
Stargate SG1--dh
Stargate Atlantis--dh, although I tolerate this for John Shepherd
Battlestar Galactica

Mystery:
Poirot
Miss Marple (Joan Hickson)
Foyle's War
Monk

The ones we can watch the most times are Friends, Firefly, Poirot, Marple and Foyle's War.

Any suggestions for what else we might like?

Glad to hear I'm not the only non-TV watching obsessed with TV series on DVDs!

Six Feet Under (will there ever be a series this good again?) & Sex & the City are the only ones I've actually purchased

But we've rented & enjoyed...
Project Runway
Desperate Housewives
Weeds
Big Love
Entourage
Carnivale
The Office BBC
Curb Your Enthusiasm
The L Word
Extreme Home Makeover
The 7 Up Series
and :...the O.C

ones we tried but didn't like...
Sopranos - great writing and characters but couldn't handle the violence
Arrested Development - didn't get it
Strangers With Candy - didn't get it either
Las Vegas - pointless drivel, watched a whole season as background noise
Firefly - tried one episode couldn't get into it
Lost- ditto above
Alias - 1st season was entertaining but the ones after that were way too repetitive
24 -Tho I may be the only person that didn't like it - found it slow and predictable.

We've given up on most shows lately, so only end up watching 'tv on dvd' when we feel like watching stuff.

The Sopranos (my luxury)
Monk
Firefly
Xena (one of dh's fave-surprising how it grows on you though)
Jack of all Trades
Remington Steele
Deadwood
Absolutely Fabulous

You might also like: Inspector Morse, Inspector Dalgleish (but only the ones with Roy Marsden), Blake's Seven (but only available in Region 2 format, so you'd have to have an all regions DVD player)
