Welcome and congrats!! Don't worry too much about upsetting anyone else - there's nothing you can do about their situation versus yours, and your post was completely appropriate!

Glad you're here!!

Thanks Heather, I was pretty upset about it.

I am excited to join you all.

I don't know when I will feel okay about this BFP. Maybe 2 weeks? Did anyone else go through a period of feeling cautious? I had bleeding for 4 weeks with DS, so I didn't relax until 2nd trimester.

Congratulations! it seems to happen often that even when you're trying, pregnancy surprises you! i was floored by my BFP too!

That is great news!
Welcome!

I am sorry about the last thread experience, I know what you are talking about, but like someone said already, our experiences are all different.

I felt so lucky. She is due in June, but I hate to ask her again. I will probably go to Freecycle or the like for the rest. I love the giving and taking that goes on with being a mom and maternity clothes (and baby clothes and stuff). :

Oh, and yes I did give them my phone number. (duck) Although they already had it from when I bought something 3 years ago.
Woooo! Be careful, Motherhood will sell your information out to a formula company.

BFP = Big Fat Positive.... test.
Hey chicks!
Like a pp ( previous poster) said, sometimes pregnancy can surprise you.
I am a poas-aholic.. we've been "trying" since June, not preventing before that for a year, and lived in together earlier in life for 5 years using nothing! with no results. So on saturday night, 2 days before AF was due I decided to take a test just to reassure myself that she would be here any minute so carry on with my nightly glass of wine.. imagine my surprise.. O, M, G, is that turning pink?!! I think it is!! (mini-panic attack=heart beating, face flush. etc) The timing was totally off.. I usually chart but quit a couple a months ago cause it was just making me into a scientist and really mad when the temp dropped.. Anyway took a CB digital the next morning and *ting* it said "pregnant" right away!
I live in Atlanta and this will be my third child..(fingers crossed!) I have 2 dd from a previous marriage age 10 and 6. First child with dh.
I only told my sister (other than dh)so far bc she is the only one I would tell about mc.. hopefully that won't happen though.

Ah, thank you.

I haven't had a positive pregnancy test yet but I just know I'm pregnant. I took two tests a couple of days ago and the first one showed up as invalid and the second one was a negative. : I think it was just too early. Now DH doesn't want me to waste any more money on hpt until 2 weeks from now. !!! I don't think he believes I'm really pregnant. After all, we just had a baby three months ago. But like I said, I am positive I'm pregnant at this point. I have the nausea, food aversions, sensitive sense of smell, headaches, crampy feelings, more frequent need to pee, and more hungry (craving my usual prego fare-- hamburgers, tomatoes, and anything dairy!) Oh, and SO T-I-R-E-D and lethargic. Yawn . . .

I'm so excited!!!

Oh, for m/s I love kombucha, especially the gingerade kind. Also eating lots of eggs keeps my energy up and seems to help with the m/s too. I've had 6 eggs today! Also lots of raw milk, which I'm craving like crazy, but it tastes different now.

Yes, I can finally join a DD club. We had been TTC #2 for almost 2 years.

Name: Jenn
Relationship status: married to DH for 5.5 years
Children/Pregnancies: this is #2
Due date: Oct 13
Birth plans: mw, need to call them tomorrow and hope that they're not full already

I had my first BFP test two days before I was due for AF. I just had a feeling, I'm sure some of you know that feeling. My excitement was unbelievable and I told DH right away after I rushed him off of the phone. He kind of knew what I was up to when I tried to sneak into the bathroom. I took some pictures of the positive test and emailed them to two of my friends.

My DD just finished nursing a week before I found out I was pregnant. It was 2 days before her third bday when she last had a sip. My breasts didn't even get full when she stopped. I'm not sure if they feel any different yet. Maybe I'll ask DH to look at them, he'll prob have a better idea if they're fuller .

Last night I had another positive test. We haven't told DD yet, but it seems like she already knows because she's been talking about the baby. Have any of your children known before you've told them?

I have just not felt pregnant like one of the other posters said. With my first pregnancy I was very sick all the first trimester, breast sore, and sleepy. Now even though I have a nursing 2yr old I just don't feel pregnant so I took another test tonight and got another BFP FYI the dollar store has $1 pregnancy test that can be trusted!

Jennbee, YES. My 3 year-old daughter started talking about her little sister about 6 weeks before we were pregnant. (She only has a little brother, and has NEVER talked about her younger sister.) Then about a week ago we are in the car and she starts babbling, and I am not sure what she is talking about. She is saying, "Baby, Mommy, Mommy, Baby, Mommy's Baby, Baby Mommy, and then in perfect english she says, Mommy, do you have a baby in your tummy?" : We had not been talking about it at all, and my husband and I have been especially careful to not say anything about it in front of her. Again, I say, huh?! :

We are still holding off a little while longer to confirm her suspicions. : We are also holding off telling any of our family or friends for 6 more weeks. It is killing me. I am six weeks pregnant, and I am due October 3rd. PLEASE LET ME YELL IT FROM THE ROOF TOPS. Okay, I am done now.

Oh, and Jennbee, when is your daughter's third birthday? Mine turned 3 on Jan. 28th.

well I'm here. this isnt what I was actually intending... this wasnt planned for me at all.

Name: Sadie
Relationship status: divorced, recently ended a 3 yr relationship and started a new, promising relationship..a month and a half ago:
Children/Pregnancies: this will be my 3rd child
Due date: eh, the first week of oct probably
Birth plans: another UBAC. I enjoy being my own midwife.

my boyfriend is in the air force, and hes just been deployed for 6 months, and we still have 5 to go. he doesnt know about this yet. I just cant bring myself to write it to him in an email. Im going to write to him, and ask him to call me, tomorrow. Im not too anxious about his reaction.. I know hes a good man, or I wouldnt be with him. Im just scared about all the details we've never had any reason to discuss, so early in a relationship. and Im scared because Ive never lived alone, etc while pregnant. Im 5 wks but for some reason I dont get a pos on a pee test right away. That happened with my 2nd pg as well. I got a faint line this afternoon so I expect a stronger one in the morning.

so, hi everybody.

Stacey, is Multip around here somewhere???? I think TP needs her, and finn's mama! You know, to be the voices of reason!

Welcome kitty waltz, Jennbee, hammycakes, LTB, Baby Makes 4 and anyone else I've missed, this place is filling up fast!

You know, DS did ask a couple weeks ago, "is there a baby in your belly?" It was out of the blue, but no doubt he's just picked up on our conversations (guess we weren't being as careful as we thought!) Anyway, at the time I said no because it was way too early to know. So the other day he asked again, and even though we didn't want to make a big deal out of it yet (9 mos is along time for a 2.5 year old!) I couldn't lie, so I said yes. And then he asked if he could see it and hold it and lifted my shirt to look at my belly, which is a little pudgy but I think that was Christmas chocolate more than baby!

Interestingly, my sister also says she "knew" 2 weeks ago -- which I believe, because with her 2nd, I dreamt she was pg, and told her about it (as kind of a joke, because her 1st was not even a year old at the time I think) and turned out, she was 5 mos! Cool!
