Hi Everyone.

I got my BFP on Feb. 1 at 16 DPO

For my info:

Name: Jenn
Relationship status: married to DH for 4.5 years
Children/Pregnancies: this is my 3rd pregnancy, hopefully first child!
Due date: Oct 10
Birth plans: MW, waterbirth in a Birth Center

I'm already really excited this time around. Of course, I'm really hoping that this is a sticky baby!

Congrats to everyone else who's gotten their BFP recently!

Congrats, hammycakes! Though I don't envy you -- being pg in Atlanta in the summer!

JennBee -- Congrats! Sorry you had such a long wait to get here.

Sadie -- Congrats and I hope everything goes well with the phone call. It would be hard to be pg on your own and have other kids to look after.

Jenn -- Congrats and and :!

I've been sleeping horribly. It seems like I go to bed tired, and wake up in the middle of the night exhausted and headachy and sooooo thirsty. Then it takes me resting or sleeping until 8 or later to recover from sleeping the first part of the night. I woke up starving this morning and knowing that eating would make me feel better, but just not wanting to make anything. Bleh. We had fried egg sandwiches with cheese, that really hit the spot in the end.

We were going to go sledding today, but I'm not so sure. It was about -20F with the windchill this morning -- and where we go sledding, it's like a wind tunnel, two hills making a long valley. I think we'll still go out and buy the crazy carpets today, though.

I have been experiencing this too. I start off with either kombucha or raw milk, so that the raw enzymes and bacterias can help settle my stomach, and then I move on to my warm hazelnut teeccino, and then a couple of hours later I am finally ready for either eggs or Applegate Farms natural chicken sausage. All that protein helps me get through the day better.

You would not believe what I just did.


I am a member of a large homeschooling email list here in town that covers a few hundred families. Many of the members know members of our family or know other friends of ours.

I sent an email to my midwife yesterday who is also a member of the list and had a few very odd "congratulations" emails in my inbox this morning.

Yup, you guessed it. I accidentaly sent the email to the entire list. So I had to send out another email this morning begging for secrecy. Unfortunately I think it is too much to ask for all of those people to even read my email let alone keep our secret so now we are going to have to tell our families much sooner than we had planned so they don't hear it from everyone else.

Damn.

I'm an idiot.

Just a quick Hello! I'm Nancy, mama to Henry (10/2004), and due with #2 10/14! Yay! Ok now I have to go pee for the 10,000th time this morning.

I know exactly what you mean. I'm exhausted during the day manage a nap sometimes when DS naps, but then go to be beyond exhausted and wake up at 3 or 4 wide awake. It's frustrating, and DH just lays there and snores

Very tired here too. Funny thing is, DS has been sleeping better lately, so last night *I* woke up to use the bathroom at 4, but *he* hadn't joined us yet (usually starts his night in his room, then joins us at some point in the night and nurses back to sleep). Then I couldn't get back to sleep for DH's snoring, and then DS came in, and I had just gotten back to sleep when the alarm went off at 5:30 DS has also been staying up a little later, probably because it has been way too cold for any outdoor time at daycare this week. And yet, I'm ready to go to sleep much earlier

Welcome gottaknit! Our DS's are a month apart and our #2s will be very close!

I, strangely enough, don't have to pee that much. Is that ok? Is this ok? I feel like I'm questioning every symptom present or absent.

Welcome!:

You know as far as other siblings knowing or talking about the babes to be... my dd who is only 14 mos, pointed to my belly and said baby about a week before we found out I was prego...I was sort of shocked and pointed at my belly and said belly, but she clearly said baby and pointed at my lower abs...then she said belly - clearly and pointed at my uppper belly
So that was our experience.

Emily did something like that. I pointed to my belly and said, "Belly" and she didn't say anything. I suspected that I was pregnant, so I said, "Baby?" and pointed to my belly, and she said, "BABY!" Then I pointed to her belly and said, "baby?" and she looked at me like I was nuts. I've asked her to give the baby a kiss a few times, and she'll kiss my belly, not every time, but a majority of the time.

YES!!!!

I have been feeling zero-energy almost all day. That is to say, I had a tolerable amount of energy this morning, which is now gone. But I feel happy. Kind of fat and lazy and happy.

I just perused the thread and think there are about 25-28 of us here now.

I'm experiencing some nausea and some cramping right now. It's so exciting to be newly pregnant that it's really hard to think about anything else.

I'm not really "going" more frequently yet, I already have small bladder disease though (joke) -- with my last pg, my boss told me she knew before I told her because I was eating crackers and running to the bathroom a lot. Except I often have crackers as a snack, and I didn't have m/s, and wasn't using the bathroom more than I usually do. But, OK.

So far, other than tiredness and bf becoming more sensitive, no real symptoms here, and that's fine with me -- if it's uneventful like my last pg, I'll be thrilled.

We're selling dh's slvr phone on ebay, and we finally got a bid, yay! We're including the charger and bluetooth, we started the bidding at $50. We're going to use the money to buy cloth diapers for the kiddos. Pray/send good thoughts that we make a lot of moola on it!

Hooray!

I finally found a provider willing to be my homebirth midwife!

I live right on the border of 2 states, and the closest mw is 3 hours. All the midwives in my state had turned me down because of the distance, and all the ones in the next state were hesitant because they're not licensed in my state. However I found one who is willing to take the test to get licensed in my state. WOO HOO! Plus, as a bonus, I actually know her irl from several years ago, and I've heard great things about her from a CNM I know.

YumaDoula, that's great...what a relief!

I felt a bit pregnant last night, salivating like crazy which made me feel queasy...just like with DS. But today, I don't feel anything again. I am going to test again tomorrow. My temp dropped this morning so I am worried. Are any of you continuing to take your temp? Maybe I should stop...it is just stressing me out.

It sounds like a lot of you have already secured your mw or drs. Maybe I will call them and see if I need to get set-up now.

I didn't decide to stop, I just haven't been able to (dd wakes up, and I run to her without thought, and it's less than 3 hours before she wakes up for the day.) I probably won't, I think it would stress me out too much. Maybe the drop in temp is an implantation dip?
