Anyone Else A Long-Distance Parent of an Older Teen?

Was hoping to get some email support going.

I have a 19 year old son from my first marriage that lives in another state from me with his Dad and StepMom. I also have a toddler at home. I am raising child #2 (DD) VERY differently than I did child #1 (DS). Sometimes I am RACKED with guilt over the things I did do, didn't do, blah, blah, blah with DS...AND I am also learning how to have an adult relationship with DS and try to support him but not coddle him. (I was so NON-AP with DS)

Anyone else have a similiar situation?

I am not trying to flame you here, but take a look at your signature -- no mention of your ds.

and to reply about the signature:

After much deliberation, I decided to respect his privacy and not include any info. He is an adult now and I felt it would not be appropriate. You will also notice I do not list my DHs info - also out of respect for his privacy.

So - no-one with this issue? <sigh>
