This is my first month off the pill, and I have some questions about what is "normal" for cervical mucus. From what I've read, I should be having "egg white cervical mucus" for a few days in the middle of the month, back-to-back. However, I've been having very irregular bouts of cervical mucus. I might have no mucus, then stretchy egg-white mucus, then sticky cloudy mucus, then none, then sticky, then egg-white, etc. This has been going on all month. I'm technically 1 week late for my period, but all preg. tests have been negative. That I'm a week late doesn't mean much, as I've been on the pill for almost 10 years, and this is the first month off. Maybe my cycles are just really messed up? If that's the case, how long might it be before I become regular?
So, i'm just wondering if any of you have any insight into what is going on with my irregular cervical mucus, and whether this irregularity may be related to long-term pill use.
Thanks for any insights you can offer.
