Have to file complaint with BBB about belly casting kit

Mods, I'm posting this in two sections in case it goes against any kind of policy... I don't think so, but can't be too sure. Feel free to delete second post if necessary and anyone who needs more info can get in touch with me via PM

Anyway the complaint is against www.glamourbelly.com, based in Arizona... I ordered my kits on the 16th of the month, and repeatedly have tried to contact them regarding WHEN, exactly, they're planning on shipping my order out. They DID charge my credit card, including almost 12 dollars in shipping (which I DEFINITELY will be trying to get refunded), and I have heard nothing from them. They provided a UPS tracking number, but for the past almost 2 weeks it says nothing but "billing information received."

Please, do NOT order from this company if you intend to get your kit while you're actually STILL PREGNANT. One of the kits was a shower gift for my sister, as well, so I'm even more irritated that I haven't gotten them in yet.

No... I got a number through the BBB but I tried to call and it seems as though it's not in service. I just get that fast beeping sound, like a busy signal but faster.

Maybe it's my fault for not doing my research... they have an "unsatisfactory" record with BBB already.

Dispute the charge with your credit card company - tell them you never received the goods, your UPS tracking number that shows it never shipped should be plenty of evidence. (Call and ask them how to do it, but it should be pretty straightforward). Most retailers get charged a hefty fee for chargebacks, so it may get the company's attention too!

Ooooh good point... My bank's probably pretty tired of me by now, too. Sounds like fun. They're 24 hours, I'll call.

That is such a shame! I hope you get a kit somewhere else! (And yes, the cc company should take care of it fast!)

So now I wonder if we could talk about companies that people have had good luck with getting their belly cast kits from?

I'm still trying to decide whether to just get the stuff from the art store or buy a kit online.

I ended up buying RigidWrap at Michael's and Vaseline from the drug store...it worked fine. Not sure how the cost compared to a kit. The process was very messy! But fun to do. I went back after a couple of days of drying and added strips to thin spots and evened out the edges. It hasn't been painted yet, though.

That sucks, I am so sorry.
Not in your DDC, but I make kits for people. It's much less and this thing doesn't happen. You can PM me if you want to know what's in them...not b/c it's supa secret, just because I am lazy and need dinner!!!

I feel for ya!

Did you manage to get ahold of your credit card company and find out your recourse for this? It SUCKS to not get an order. I once ordered some plants from a place in Florida, and they never showed. It took a lot of fight on my part, but I finally got a refund. The company disputed it all the way, but they didn't have a tracking number or anything to prove they'd ever shipped them. Two days after I got the refund, I got the plants - dead as doornails! Apparently they'd been lost in the postal service for two months. Poor little plants.

I'm hoping you've now ordered from another company?? Or figured out some other way to cast your belly.

I haven't ordered a new one yet, but I did get the CC company on it (it was through my bank which is WONDERFUL and has helped me more than once) and should have a full refund within 72 hours.

So glad that the cc company/your bank has been so helpful. It's lousy when this kind of stuff happens
