For the past 2 weeks my nipples have been very sore after pumping. For the most part there is not a time where they are not bright pink. My breasts are also really itchy and I keep getting stabbing pains inside my breast. When Dh tries to touch my breasts (sorry tmi) I jump from the pain and push his hand away. I know that it is not mastitis (I had mastitis back at the end of November) as I do not have any clogged ducts and no flu symptoms. Ds has been fussing twice as bad in the last 2 weeks as well where nothing I do can console him. Could this be thrush????

It sounds like it possibly could be thrush. Have you looked in your ds's mouth to check for any white patches?

I have the same question... I have no pain at all and my baby is as happy as can be. However, periodically, my breasts get really itchy and my nipples get a bit pink (like a light rash). My son's mouth is always a bit white-ish and it never goes away, it's been like that since he was born (that's 20 months ago!).
Could that be a light case of mostly symptom-less thrush?
Should I do anything about it since it's not really bothering us?

Are the insides of his cheeks white or just his tongue? Some people have whitish tongues and that's normal for them. How often is periodically? Have you read the thrush symptoms over at kellymom.com?
Thrush can also cause other problems such as depression. A friend of mine gave me a whole list the other day. I'd say if you think you have thrush then you should be treating it. Taking probiotics daily is a good thing that you should do anyway.
